About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced BI and Data Visualisation Specialist.

This role works closely with the Business Intelligence Manager to design and deliver impactful Power BI dashboards and reports. This role is central to enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation, collaborating closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and high-quality business intelligence solutions.

We're looking for someone with strong DAX skills, semantic modelling expertise, and hands-on experience with Power BI deployment pipelines, gateways, and Fabric capacity management. Proficiency in SQL for Redshift Server and integration with Databricks is essential. About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to validate ingested data from sources in data warehouses such as Redshift SQL Server and Databricks, ensuring it meets reporting requirements and maintains data integrity.
  • Support data discovery and gap analysis to identify inconsistencies, missing data, or opportunities for improvement in reporting datasets.
  • Build and maintain semantic models using best practices to support self-service BI and enterprise reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data products that provide actionable insights, enhance operational efficiency, and drive decision-making processes.
  • Ensure data governance and compliance standards are maintained, including data security, privacy, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree (or progress towards) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
  • Relevant certifications in Power BI, SQL, or cloud data platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, Databricks).
