The Job

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Helsinki. You are part of our Ops Capabilities team, where we develop and maintain internal services and platforms associated with areas of observability, business process monitoring and operative processes. The tasks in our team are very diverse and include e.g. planning and architecting, coding, configuring, integration development and data engineering and management to name a few. We utilize e.g. AWS, Python, Terraform, Kafka and different log management and observability/APM tools along with many other tools and technologies.

We own our services, which means that what we build we also take good care of. We offer our services and platforms for the whole S Group. Our workplace is our Helsinki office, Ässäkeskus, where we meet with our colleagues several times a week. When your duties allow, you can also work remotely for part of the week with flexible arrangements.

Requirements

We hope you have a team player mindset and a communicative working style. You can effectively handle work-related communication in Finnish and English.

• Experience in backend development.
• Experience in infrastructure as code, CI/CD and testing.
• Experience in operative work related to software and services.
• An understanding of the importance of security and privacy.
  
  

The more of these you have experience with, the better, but willingness to learn those you do not know yet is key: AWS, Python, Docker, observability tools and processes, Kafka stream processing.
