We’re looking for a People Operations Specialist to join our People team in Helsinki.
In this role, you will…
- Manage the Finnish payroll while supervising global payroll processing through Remote.
- Partner with our US-based People Operations Specialist to provide day-to-day HR support for employees and managers worldwide.
- Manage benefits administration and ensure policies, processes, and documentation run smoothly across the employee lifecycle.
- Implement process improvements and support compliance with local and global regulations.
- Running monthly Finnish payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and coordinating payroll across global entities.
- Liaising with Finance and payroll vendors on changes, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Responding to employee and manager queries via the Jira HR ticketing system.
- Supporting onboarding cohorts and offboarding processes to ensure smooth employee transitions.
- Managing accurate employee records in our HRIS (HiBob) and overseeing time and attendance administration.
- Administering benefits (healthcare, insurance, allowances), acting as the point of contact for employees and providers.
- Communicating and promoting benefits programs to increase employee awareness.
- Conducting audits of HR processes and documentation, and maintaining policies aligned with company objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with employment law and escalating complex cases when needed.
- 2–4 years of experience in People Operations, HR, or a similar role in a global environment.
- Thorough understanding of Finnish payroll practices, along with experience in global payroll coordination.
- Experience administering employee benefits and working with HRIS systems (HiBob) and ticketing tools (Jira a plus).
- Comfort with policies, compliance requirements, and audits.
- A service-minded, organised, and detail-oriented approach with a motivated “can-do” attitude.
- Effective communication skills in English and the ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving, collaborative setting.
