IT Development Manager – Middle Office required to join a leading global consumer brand in France, Bordeaux. The role offers an excellent salary, benefits and flexible working.

The IT Development Manager will lead a team of 12 Developers delivering a broad portfolio of projects. The role requires someone with not just strong technical knowledge but also excellent people management and leadership skills.

Technical:
- Contributing to the architecture and development of a modern, scalable platform based on Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Hexagonal Architecture.
- Proficiency in Laravel or Symfony and strong knowledge of software architecture concepts.
- Solid understanding of DDD and Hexagonal Architecture.
- PHP, Laravel, Docker, Mariadb Redpanda, Debezium
- Contribute to the design and evolution of the Middle Office architecture (DDD, Hexagonal, CQRS).
- Challenge technical decisions and arbitrate solutions aligned with business priorities.
- Implement inter-service communication mechanisms.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of services.
- Drive continuous improvement and software quality initiatives.
Human & Organizational Leadership
- Clarify the project vision within the team and give meaning to initiatives.
- Motivate and engage the team around common objectives.
- Organize workloads, foster skill development, and share best practices.
- Be attentive, cultivate a climate of trust, and act as a mentor.
- Represent the team with other Villages (Front, Data, DevOps, Product) and IT Management.
- Giving purpose, motivating, engaging, and developing talent while embodying close, people-oriented leadership.
The client offers flexible working but would prefer someone that can be onsite in their Head Office a minimum of 1 day per week. Based in the greater area of Bordeaux you could commute from Arcachon, Biganos, Mios, Mont-de-Marsan, Bergerac, Agen, Saint-Émilion
