**Java Developer** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: Dublin/Hybrid (3 days on site)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate is available for suitable candidates

Role Profile

As a Java Developer, you will be at the forefront of developing high-performance, data-intensive platforms that are critical to our operations. Your hands-on development work will directly influence our liquidity management, risk analysis, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with multiple Information Technology teams to design and implement robust solutions, ensuring our architecture evolves to meet the demands of a dynamic banking landscape.

Skills & Experience:

• Engage in the development of scalable, high-throughput applications using core Java/J2EE and object-oriented design principles.
• Utilize frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot to deliver innovative tech-based solutions.
• Conduct performance tuning and profiling, with a focus on optimizing memory and processing efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate and integrate new technologies that enhance our platform capabilities.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing activities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in core Java/J2EE application development and object-oriented design.
• Strong skills in multi-threading, collections framework, JDBC, and familiarity with Java profiling tools.
• Proficiency with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Proven ability in performance tuning of data-intensive applications.
• Solid coding, debugging, and analytical skills, with a strong grasp of design patterns.
• Experience in implementing large-scale enterprise applications.
• A creative mindset with a history of delivering innovative tech-based solutions.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a track record of effective communication.
• Experience with in-memory data grids and parallel computing.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline.
• Knowledge of financial markets and the banking industry.
• Familiarity with cloud computing or distributed computing software development in an Agile environment.
