The Chief Information Security Officer will define and execute a security strategy that protects critical financial assets, ensures regulatory compliance, and enables secure digital growth. They will align cyber resilience with business goals, embedding governance and risk management across the enterprise.

As a trusted advisor to the board, the CISO will foster a strong security culture, lead high-performing teams, and manage key regulatory and stakeholder relationships. By anticipating threats and driving proactive defence, they will safeguard customer trust and future-proof the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing cybersecurity team, ensuring a culture of collaboration and continuous development.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a cybersecurity strategy that aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, engineering, and business teams to embed security best practices across the organization.
  • Incident Management: Oversee the development and execution of incident response plans to ensure effective handling of security events.
  • Technical Oversight: Evaluate, implement, and manage security technologies to enhance the organization’s security posture.
  • Compliance & Risk: Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks and mitigate risks through regular assessments and audits.

Requirements

  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading and inspiring teams in a cybersecurity environment.
  • Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to design and execute security strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of security tools, frameworks, and emerging cybersecurity trends.
  • Incident Expertise: Experience managing security incidents and implementing lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Compliance Understanding: Knowledge of regulatory standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with certifications like CISSP or CISM highly preferred.
