We are looking for a skilled Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in daily security operations, technical reviews, and supporting our information security management system (ISMS). You will work closely with the CISO and broader IT/security teams to safeguard SME Bank’s systems, data, and customers.

What You Will Do

Operational Security Tasks (weekly basis)

• Review and analyze SOC alerts.
• Manage and investigate MS Defender alerts.
• Triage and respond to security inbox inquiries.
• Review and follow-up on DLP alerts.

Non-Operational & CISO-Assigned Tasks

• Support phishing simulations (quarterly) and ongoing campaign maintenance.
• Conduct and document vulnerability management activities, including scanning results and penetration test findings in JIRA.
• Assign and review security awareness trainings and track employee results.

Other Security Responsibilities

• Maintain security testing within the development process.
• Conduct technical 3rd-party security reviews.
• Support access control reviews and related maintenance.
• Act as part of the internal ISMS audit team.
• Contribute to other ISMS-linked initiatives as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in information security operations or a related role.
• Strong familiarity with security tools and processes (e.g., SIEM, EDR, DLP, vulnerability scanning).
• Working knowledge of security standards and methodologies (e.g., ISO27001, NIST).
• Ability to investigate and resolve security alerts with a structured approach.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work across teams.
• Proficiency in English (Lithuanian a strong advantage).

Salary

2800 – 4000 €/month gross, depending on experience and qualifications.
