Senior Software Developer (Java, Python & Grafana):

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer (Java, Python & Grafana) for a long contract based in Porto, Portugal.

Role Description:

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining Grafana dashboards and SQL queries to support complex time-series data visualization. The role involves writing clean and efficient Java/Python code, implementing automated test suites, and contributing to continuous code improvement. The developer will collaborate on delivery reports, ensure adherence to coding standards, and integrate solutions with AWS, Git, Jenkins, and other CI/CD pipelines. Experience in data streaming, cloud-native architectures, and monitoring tools will be an advantage.

Competencies:

• Strong backend development skills in Java and Python
• Expertise in SQL (complex/time-series queries)
• Experience with Grafana dashboards and monitoring
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Groovy, JIRA)
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services
• Strong debugging, documentation, and automation skills

Essential Skills:

• Java and Python programming
