Software Engineer – Trading Systems Development
Location: Dubai, UAE • Employment: Full-time • Salary: AED 8,000–10,000 / month
Role
Design, build, and optimize trading platforms and data services that support global markets activity. You’ll work primarily in Python with structured and real-time data feeds. Financial markets experience is not required—great opportunity to learn systematic trading and AI-driven applications.
What you’ll do
- Develop, test, and maintain trading services, APIs, and integration tools.
- Build pipelines to handle real-time market/data feeds (e.g., REST/WebSocket) and batch datasets.
- Create automation for reporting, analytics, and monitoring; instrument services for reliability and performance.
- Optimize for latency, scalability, and fault tolerance; troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaborate with product/traders/engineering to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 2–3 years professional software development experience.
- Strong Python (pandas, typing, testing); solid grasp of data structures/algorithms and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Experience with Git, Linux, and writing unit/integration tests.
- Clear communication, ownership mindset, and curiosity to learn trading/AI systems.
- C/C++ familiarity; async Python; Kafka/Redis or other streaming/caching.
- Time-series tools (e.g., TimescaleDB), cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers (Docker/K8s).
- Basic ML tools (NumPy, scikit-learn) or model serving; event-driven design patterns.
