JOB DESCRIPTION
The Data Analyst- Finance will support the Senior Data Analyst and broader finance team in delivering accurate and timely commercial data, reporting, and actionable insights. The role will play a critical part in data-driven decision support, customer and pricing data integrity, and continuous improvement of reporting and analytics processes. The analyst will be expected to apply strong data analytics skills to drive commercial performance visibility and support strategic business initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract & Customer Data Management
- Assist in managing the customer contract lifecycle by ensuring proposals, quotations, and approvals are properly documented and processed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and product data in all relevant systems.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new customers by validating commercial terms and documentation.
Reporting, Insights & Data Analytics
- Extract, clean, and analyze large data sets from ERP, CRM, and BI tools to identify trends, anomalies, and commercial opportunities.
- Support in preparing dashboards and reports on sales, margin, pricing, and customer profitability.
- Assist the Senior Analyst in delivering in-depth analysis on price-volume mix, forecast vs actuals, customer behavior, and product performance.
- Contribute to predictive analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic planning and forecasting.
- Build and maintain PowerPoint decks, analytical packs, and visualization tools that translate complex data into business insights.
Compliance & Controls
- Support pricing and contract governance by ensuring accurate documentation and alignment with internal policies.
- Assist in reviewing controls over approval workflows, pricing overrides, and master data governance.
- Monitor exceptions and pending approvals and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
Cross-Functional Support
- Liaise with sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to consolidate inputs for reporting and insights.
- Assist in building pricing tools, customer P&Ls, and performance tracking templates to support business reviews.
- Perform administrative duties such as tracker updates, data validation, and document management.
Data-Driven Process Improvement
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies in current reporting and analytics processes.
- Recommend and implement improvements in data collection, data visualization, and workflow automation using Excel, Power Query, or BI tools.
- Standardize and automate recurring reports and templates to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy.
Other Duties
- · Support projects involving revenue segmentation, pricing simulations, and customer profitability analysis.
- Conduct variance analysis and drilldowns to support commercial business cases or strategic initiatives.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) including presentation and training skills.
- Proficient in advanced Excel; working knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, or similar data tools is a plus.
- Ability to synthesize data into visual, insightful summaries for decision-making.
- Team player who is cooperative with sharing of information and knowledge.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a high standard of data accuracy.
- Understand the competitive environment.
- High degree of negotiation, influencing and decision-making skills.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 1–3 years in a sales-driven or data-focused business environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, Pivot Tables, Lookups, Data Models); PowerPoint for business reporting.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, FOCUS) or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle, transform, and interpret financial and operational data.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and support multiple stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
