The Company
I’ve just partnered with a leading retail company who are looking for a strong Laravel Developer to join their team assisting with the continued development of their ERP system, among others. The company are currently going through some immense growth, with a new office and warehouse space on the horizon in the next 6 months. Following this move, the IT headcount will continue to grow too, and the plan for this hire is to move into a senior position, working under the head of development to assist the growth and training of their planned junior development hire.
What’s on offer?
- A competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000
- Up to 20% bonus (company performance based)
- 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays
- 1 day working from home (Friday)
- Pension scheme with The Peoples Pension
- Truly collaborative, friendly environment, where everyone across all departments communicates frequently. No being stuck on the sidelines.
- Your opinion will be truly valuable, with the CEO still being heavily involved in the business and understanding the importance that everyone brings to the company.
- A chance to truly see the impact that your development has on real-life business operational efficiency.
Key Requirements
The current tech stack they utilise is made up of PHP, Laravel, MySQL/PostreSQL, Git and Linux, but any knowledge with Python, Symfony, JavaScript, Redis and analytical databases is a big plus. For them, they need someone who is very strong technically, but also someone who wants to fully immerse themselves within a business.
Role Responsibilities
This role is unique in that you will be able to physically see the changes you make to the systems, and the direct impact it has on the operations of the warehouse and merchandising teams. You will have an input into all areas of the business, from product design all the way through to the warehouse, so you need to be someone who will constantly be looking to improve processes and truly be part of a team. You will be assisting the current Head of Development with new features and new development projects, across most business systems, as they are predominantly in house. The focus will be on the backend development, but skills in frontend are advantageous as the business will continue to grow.
Interviews for this role are being held imminently, contact me today to ensure you don’t miss out!
Unfortunately, my client is unable to offer sponsorship on this position, and therefore a valid right to work in the UK is a requirement for all applicants.
