Founded in 2007, DTI (Diversified Technology, Inc.) is a successful African American owned IT Consulting/Staffing firm based in Chicago's Loop.

What We Do

We focus on providing delivery, staffing, and supported services such as enterprise integration/implementations including, but not limited to, CRM, EAM, ERP, PMO, and QA. We service clients in SLED (state/local gov't & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with expertise in wireless networking and Cisco technologies to support enterprise-level wireless refresh and expansion initiatives for a 3month+ hybrid position in Columbs, OH. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and documentation skills, hands-on experience with wireless design and troubleshooting, and the ability to collaborate across IT, facilities, and vendor teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site-by-site discovery of existing wireless networks and document findings.
  • Compare current wireless infrastructure against design standards and identify gaps.
  • Review Cisco switch configurations and capabilities to assess scalability for wireless expansion.
  • Collect, validate, and organize floorplans to support wireless network design and planning.
  • Collaborate with installation/configuration teams to ensure designs align with implementation.
  • Monitor implementation progress, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during deployment phases.
  • Perform post-implementation validation, ensuring new equipment meets specifications and outdated equipment is fully removed.
  • Confirm operational readiness and proper configuration of all access points (Client).
  • Update and maintain operational support documentation (floorplans, inventories, reference materials).
  • Track milestones and deliverables, reporting regularly on progress.
  • Coordinate with IT, facilities, and vendor stakeholders to align project activities.
  • Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks or issues impacting project timelines or deliverables.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in wireless networking, preferably in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco networking equipment and wireless technologies.
  • Experience with wireless site surveys and design tools such as Ekahau.
  • Proficiency in network documentation and diagramming tools.
  • Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and optimize configurations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of producing clear, detailed technical documentation.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience with F5 version upgrades or migrations.
  • Background in high availability and load balancing enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud integrations (AWS, Azure) with F5 services.

Work Model

  • Hybrid preferred: 3 days per week onsite.
  • Remote considered for strong candidates with relevant expertise.

Pay rate:67.92-$79.10 based on experience
