Accountability

Core Responsibility

• Coach and mentor Agile teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to improve Agile maturity and delivery outcomes.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, workshops, and learning sessions to instill best practices.

• Partner with key stakeholders to drive the adoption of Agile values, principles, and practices aligned to Sun Life’s ways of working.

• Assess team and program-level Agile maturity and implement targeted improvement plans.

• Support the transition from project-based delivery to Value Stream–aligned structures.

• Collaborate with the Agile CoE to standardize and scale practices across squads and programs.

• Facilitate PI Planning, retrospectives, and other scaled Agile events as needed.

• Promote effective use of Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Agile Place) for transparency and tracking.


Eligibility

Professional Qualification

  • Total Experience: 8–12 years, with at least 3–4 years in Agile roles (Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or equivalent).
  • BE/B. Tech./MCA from reputed institute.
  • Proven experience in coaching cross-functional teams in Agile/Scaled Agile environments.
  • Strong facilitation, mentoring, and servant-leadership skills.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Working knowledge of Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Rally, or Agile Place.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant Agile certifications (CSM/ PSM, SAFe Agilist, ICP-ACC, etc.).

Mandate Skills

Agile Coaching Experience: Minimum 3–4 years as an Agile Coach and/or Senior Scrum Master, coaching multiple teams and stakeholders.

Agile Frameworks: Strong knowledge and practical experience in Scrum and Kanban; exposure to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar.

Facilitation & Mentoring: Proven ability to run workshops, Agile ceremonies, and maturity assessments, and to mentor team members and leaders.

Agile Transformation: Hands-on experience driving Agile adoption in medium-to-large organizations, preferably in distributed or cross-functional setups.

Agile Tools Expertise: Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or Agile Place for backlog management, reporting, and transparency.

Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with leadership, Product Owners, and business teams.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to convey complex ideas simply.

Change Leadership: Ability to challenge existing ways of working constructively and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
