Backend Software Engineer | Up to £40-£50k | Hybrid - Leeds

G.Digital are partnered with a fast-growing, product-led Health-Tech company on the lookout for a Mid Level Back End Engineer who is experienced with working in modern, cloud-based environments. If you’re someone who enjoys solving meaningful problems, collaborating across teams, and bringing smart, data-powered solutions to life, this could be the role for you.

🧠 What You’ll Bring:

• Solid experience using Node.js in production backend systems
• Fluency in TypeScript and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB)
• Understanding of both relational and document databases
• Comfortable working with product/design to build user-focused features
• A mindset geared toward problem-solving, learning, and collaboration

• Operate in the solution space - shaping the "how" as well as the "what"
• Communicate clearly, challenge constructively, and offer smart alternatives
• Collaborate across engineering, design, and product with confidence
• Take accountability for delivery and technical direction (SFIA-L5 level)
• Bring a continuous improvement mindset to both product and process

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Building robust backend systems in a Node.js, serverless AWS environment
• Regularly working on exciting Greenfield projects alongside evolving platform features
• Contributing to architecture, writing production-ready code, and shipping it with pride
• Helping shape a clean-code, collaborative engineering culture
• Positioning yourself to step up into a Senior role as the team grows
