Senior Product Designer

We are currently working on an exciting hire for a Senior Product Designer for a leading Government organisation, based in Brisbane with hybrid working structure, on a 12 month contract paying up to $1050 p/d inclusive of super.

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping digital experiences that are elegant, user-focused, and measurable—while also being practical to build and maintain. You'll help meet real user needs and drive business value by delivering solutions that balance usability with efficiency.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design the new website, internal platforms and customer-facing digital products that support the business customers.

Duties –

• User-centred product design from research, user journeys, ideation, prototyping and user testing
• Lead large-scale digital product design
• Govern and maintain the design system
• Collaborating with multidiscipline teams
• Champion the customer to drive improvement and innovation
• Providing mentorship to other team members, such as Product designers
• Ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with records management policies

Skillset –

• Over 5 years experience as a UX/UI / Product Designer
• You will need extensive experience in web/ high volume digital products
• Proficient design system experience a must and be demonstrated
• Portfolio/examples of work needed
• Ability to elevate visual design
• Stakeholder management key
• UR - qualitative and quantitative research synthesising user research
• Strong skills in foundational design thinking principles / UI design
• Strong and demonstrable capability in interaction design
• Experience in delivering user interface specifications using Figma, Sketch or Adobe Xd
• Agile environment background in a collaborative environment
• Delivering WCAG 2 compliant solutions
