About The Job
As Product Optimization Manager, you will build the frameworks & homologation processes for projects on business continuity, productivity and product innovation for the production site of Alpro in Wevelgem. The goal is to translate specifications related to new products, modifications or duplications to the factory capabilities. You will play a key role in projects related to raw materials, ingredients and packaging materials to ensure the achievement of the result and information flow on trial management. You will report to the the Senior Product Optimization Manager and you have a strong link with Research & Innovation and Operations (planning, performance, production,…).

About The Job
To your responsibilities belong
- Owner of trial management
- Build the feasibility answer of industrial and commercial test requests within a new project brief.
- Schedule, Organize & Optimize all trials related to the projects
- Generate project trial reports and communicate to the project team and build together with the team the recommendation for next steps as single point of contact of Operations
- Manage industrial trial budget within productivity and innovation portfolio
- Owner of homologation process
- Build with R&I & relevant persons within Operations the feasibility answer templates of project briefs leading to new specifications, modifications and/or duplication of the specifications versus the factory capabilities.
- Build frameworks to propose & support the best recommendations on trial management leading to the right match, in close cooperation with the factory
- Act as the Operations SPOC for homologation process according the defined homologation standards
- Lead locally stage gate homologation process at factory level
- Align on a regular base with the Product Optimization Managers from the other Alpro sites in case the projects have other Alpro sites in scope
- Project management for Ingredients/Packaging
- Participate in projects related to ingredients/packaging and act as guarantor of the project management methodology in its implementation.
- You hold a Master’s degree, preferably in Procurement, Operations, R&I or another relevant subject.
- You have at least 2 years’ experience in an Operations / R&I project related role
- You are fluent in Dutch and English
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- You are a true planner, communicator, organizer and you can rely on strong project management skills.
- Big affinity for and understanding of processes and interactions of product on process and vice versa
- Thinking in terms of solutions and eager to think outside of the box when it comes to optimalisation in general
