TechHeads is partnered with a global organisation seeking an Android Developer to redesign and rearchitect a native android application.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the transformation of the company’s current application and rebuild and scale it using Kotlin, Java and modern android tools. This will provide a good opportunity to be hands on with a modern tech stack.

As an Android Developer you will contribute to the redesign and re-architecture of the core components of the company’s current application and migrate legacy code from Java to Kotlin, which will allow for opportunities to progress your skillset through various pieces of work you will complete.

In this role you will collaborate with product managers, designers and backend engineers to build and deploy features end to end. You will gain great experience working with seasoned professionals where you can learn and upskill yourself working with different teams.

It is a hybrid position with 1 day required on site per week for candidates within the Greater Limerick area and 1 day on site per month for candidates outside of that or nationwide. This allows for a great work life balance outside of the workplace and the role also has flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop android devices using Kotlin and Java
• Research and create greenfield end to end solutions for android devices and develop them
• Apply modern development best practices to enhance maintainability, scalability and overall code quality
• Use strong communication skills to collaborate with project managers, backend engineers and designers
• Contribute to improving development processes, CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Work with modern android tools and libraries

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with Kotlin and Java
• 1+ years of experience with Android SDK, architecture components and modern development paradigms.
• Understanding of the Full Mobile Development Lifecycle (FMDLC) including deployment and app store submission
• Experience designing and architecting android devices

Candidate must currently be located in Ireland and hold an EU Passport or Stamp 4 or Stamp 1g spousal visa

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: €70,000-€75,000 DOE
