- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in telecommunications at carrier scale working with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers, and data services.
- 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role, directly supervising NOC engineers and technicians.
- 6 years of experience in telecommunications, OSP, ISP, AC/DC power systems, and relay rack/cabinet/cage construction.
- Experience with developing and enforcing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), runbooks, and escalation policies.
- Experience in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and service level management (SLA) reporting.
- Understanding cloud computing, linux server environments, network design and deployment, and managing infrastructure.
- Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.), optical technology and network architecture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of providing clear and concise updates to executive management, technical staff, and business stakeholders during an outage.

Responsibilities
- Lead the team of Network Operations Engineer, set and communicate individual and team priorities aligned with organizational goals, meet regularly to discuss performance and development, and provide feedback and coaching.
- Direct and prioritize resources while maintaining quality and adherence to network standards.
- Collaborate with leadership across disciplines and act as the point of contact for stakeholders, planners, designers, and operational business partners.
- Identify metrics and Key Performance Indicators to measure network operations center performance and provide periodic reporting to the management team.
- Manage network and customer escalations and drive problem resolution.
