Aktyvus Photonics develops advanced laser and photonics solutions for defense and aerospace. Our systems are already in use across Europe, integrated into UAVs, handheld, and vehicle-mounted platforms. We build technology that works and proves itself in the field.


As a Business Development Manager, you will represent these technologies with credibility. The role is about building senior relationships, navigating long sales cycles, and guiding opportunities forward with persistence and confidence.

Job Description:

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in defense and aerospace markets
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with prime contractors, OEMs, integrators, and government stakeholders
  • Manage incoming sales opportunities and established accounts, ensuring high-quality stakeholder engagement throughout the sales cycle
  • Represent Aktyvus Photonics at international defense exhibitions, trade shows, and client visits, acting as a credible partner in front of senior executives (VP to C-level)
  • Lead and support proposal preparation, tenders and contract negotiations in collaboration with engineering and project teams
  • Analyze market trends, procurement programs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and position Aktyvus Photonics strategically
  • Work closely with internal teams (engineering, finance, product management) to align business opportunities with technical capabilities and delivery plans
  • Contribute to long-term business development strategy and market positioning initiatives


Requirements:

  • University degree in business, engineering, or a related field
  • +3 years experience in business development, sales, or key account management (defense, aerospace, or high-tech industry is a strong advantage)
  • Familiarity with defense procurement processes, tenders, and long-cycle sales (advantage)
  • Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders, including VPs and C-level executives
  • Strong networking, relationship management, and negotiation skills
  • Skilled in preparing proposals, presentations, and commercial offers
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written); additional European languages are an advantage
  • High level of initiative, independence, and accountability for results
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally (exhibitions, client visits, partner meetings)

Monthly salary:

3000 - 5000 EUR gross. The final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
