We are looking for an Associate Data Engineer to join our Client's team on a remote working model from Portugal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy data collectors in Adverity to gather data from media, agency systems, and other sources.
- Build and monitor data hygiene checks and pipeline monitors, addressing or escalating issues when necessary.
- Perform QA on collected data against source data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Support the development and maintenance of naming convention adherence and data completeness procedures.
- Develop and expand on existing data transformations in SQL via DBT on Google Cloud Platform and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Translate user requirements into technical specifications with guidance from senior team members.
- Work with Google Cloud Platform to ensure data processes follow best practices.
- Monitor automated jobs and troubleshoot data issues as they arise.
- Assist other team members with data transformation and visualization in BI tools such as Google Data Studio.
- Provide hands-on support to reporting solution users, triaging and resolving data-related issues.
- Attend stakeholder meetings, presenting progress updates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party data providers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
- Strong eagerness to learn and grow as a data engineer.
- Professional experience with SQL, preferably deployed via DBT.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to approach and resolve complex challenges.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective spoken and written communication skills.
- Passion for the digital marketing ecosystem and an understanding of data’s role within it.
- Collaborative approach, thriving in a team environment.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working with data and technology.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and the data they generate (Google Marketing Platform, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
- Understanding of data tracking and exchange in digital advertising (e.g., ad servers, third-party vendors).
- Experience using BI tools, ideally Microsoft Power BI.
- Work experience in a media agency, publisher, ad tech, or client marketing organization.
