About Flutter Functions
The Flutter Functions division is a key component of Flutter Entertainment, responsible for providing essential support and services across the organization. The division encompasses various corporate functions, including finance, legal, human resources, technology, and more, ensuring seamless operations and strategic alignment throughout the company
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Events and Comms Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of high-impact events that showcase cutting-edge innovation, engage senior stakeholders, and foster collaboration across global markets.
You will plan and execute a diverse portfolio of events including pitch days, tech workshops, innovation summits, hackathons, and industry meetups that position Flutter at the forefront of digital transformation.
This role combines strategic event planning, community building, and marketing to cultivate meaningful connections across our internal and external technology ecosystem. You will work directly with senior stakeholders, manage multiple concurrent projects, and drive continuous improvement across all programs.

You will work directly with senior stakeholders, manage multiple concurrent projects, and drive continuous improvement across all programs.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution
- Own complete event lifecycle for internal and external facing events including pitch days, tech workshops, innovation summits, hackathons, and industry meetups
- Plan and execute across all formats (in-person, hybrid, virtual) for global audiences across multiple time zones
- Manage complex logistics including venue selection, vendor coordination, speaker management, registration systems, and on-site operations
- Partner with local facilities teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery
- Run post-event analysis including stakeholder surveys and attendee feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Build and nurture professional communities around key emerging technologies (e.g. AI, blockchain, cloud computing, VR, cybersecurity)
- Cultivate internal and external ecosystem relationships with startups, VCs, universities, thought leaders, vendors, and Flutter technology experts
- Facilitate year-round networking and knowledge sharing between events
- Identify and recruit industry experts to serve as speakers, advisors, and community champions
- Create and execute marketing campaigns to drive event attendance and community growth
- Develop compelling content that translates complex emerging technologies into accessible narratives for diverse audiences
- Manage multi-channel campaigns including LinkedIn, web, email marketing, and external partnerships
- Collaborate with internal communications teams and coordinate with external designers, photographers, and videographers
- Provide clear, consistent reporting on program progress, metrics, and ROI to senior stakeholders
- Provide relevant progress updates and managing high-priority relationships with stakeholders
- Establish appropriate governance structures and reporting processes to ensure issues are addressed promptly
- Collaborate with global teams across product, engineering, strategy, and marketing to align event content with business objectives
- Escalate blockers and issues in a timely manner to ensure smooth program delivery
- 5+ years' experience in event management, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously
- Proven track record planning and executing complex events in fast-paced, global environments
- Strong project management skills with experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
- Exceptional communication skills and confidence engaging with senior executives and cross-cultural teams
- Experience working across federated organizations, aligning diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for content creation, research, and workflow optimization
- Basic WordPress skills for updating event pages and coordinating with digital teams
- Experience providing briefs to and working with creative vendors (videographers, photographers, designers)
- Proactive & Driven: Takes ownership of end-to-end delivery and drives initiatives forward without constant direction
- Highly Organized: Manages multiple concurrent events with shifting priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Resilient: Handles stress and setbacks effectively, overcoming challenges to ensure smooth event delivery
- Strategic Communicator: Builds trust-based relationships with stakeholders and provides constructive feedback
