Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role (Gothenburg, 2–3 days/week on site) for a Full-Stack Developer Intern. You will work across frontend and backend, designing, developing, and deploying scalable web solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll write and maintain clean code, review pull requests, collaborate with designers and engineers, and help debug and optimize performance. You’ll work with React on the frontend and Node/Express with SQL databases on the backend, and contribute to simple CI/CD and testing practices.

Compensation Note

This is not a paid job and not an employment with Alsha. It must be for-credit through a university or externally funded (e.g., Erasmus+/scholarship or a government programme). Alsha will provide the host/learning agreement and any required paperwork. No salary or benefits are paid by Alsha for this internship.

Qualifications

• Experience in Front-End Development (React/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS).
• Skills in Back-End Web Development (Node.js/Express, REST APIs).
• Working knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and basic schema design.
• Proficiency in full-stack fundamentals (HTTP, auth, state, testing).
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and basic CI/CD workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Nice to have: Next.js, Docker, cloud basics (Azure/AWS), Jest/Cypress, Prisma/Sequelize.
