About the role

We are looking for a Junior Developer located on-site in Bergen (Norway) who shares our passion for creating something new and has the courage to explore uncharted territories. By joining as a junior you will get structured onboarding with dedicated mentorship to help you grow from foundational concepts to advanced data engineering practices. You'll work alongside our Senior Data Engineer who will provide technical guidance and help you develop expertise in the fundamental programming- and database languages to support and build our solution and brand.

Your responsibilities includes

• Constructing and implementing the designed data architectures, both back-end and front-end
• Contribute, innovate, design and implement our AI and ML solutions
• Creating data pipelines and integrations that efficiently support our AI and ML solutions
• Collaborating closely with our Senior Data Engineers and AI experts to turn ideas into reality
• Driving innovation projects that could lead to new business opportunities for both us and our partners

We believe that you

• Have a background in development from education, work experience or both and identifies in one or more of the following statements:

1. Recent graduate in computer science, data engineering or related field
2. Have 0–2 years of professional development experience
3. Transitioning from another field with demonstrable programming skills

• Have a genuine interest in data and its value in analysis and modeling. We are looking for someone who sees the potential in data and how it can be used to create insights
• Have strong interest or experience with PHP (required) and good knowledge of MySQL databases (highly preferred)
• Are motivated to navigate cloud-based Azure platform and various database technologies
• Are familiar with or eager to learn JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, and JSON
• Motivated to deep-dive into working with APIs and the two API designs REST (prioritized) and SOAP
• Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you have the freedom to think and create on a large scale
• Are committed to contributing to the company’s success and growth and have an entrepreneurial spark
