HighPath is a software platform for businesses to identify, research, and apply for funding opportunities. Businesses that are on HighPath use it to identify investors, grants, banking products and more. HighPath is working to automate the matching and application or diligence process to provide businesses with a single solution for running their fundraise.


Our mission is to help 100,000 businesses across Canada and the US get funding in the next 5 years. To do this we are assembling a team of incredible software engineers, data scientists, and sales gurus to help build the next generation of funding software.


We are a small team which means that new team members will be instrumental in shaping the direction of the technology, strategy, and culture. HighPath team members have the distinct pleasure of trying to help SMB’s bring their visions to life and grow developing businesses into powerhouse industry players.


About You

We’re looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our development and deployment processes. You will work closely with our engineering team to automate and streamline our operations, ensuring our platform is reliable and scalable. You should be proactive, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of our infrastructure and applications.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Implement security best practices to protect our platform and data.


What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • 0-to-1 Builder: Been part of an early team before? Even better. You know what it’s like to build an early customer community.
  • Leadership experience: You’ve successfully led major projects and are ready to mentor future hires as we grow.


Requirements:

  • Motivated to work in an early-stage startup: Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Dev Ops or a similar role.
  • Excited to support Canadian businesses: Enjoy being on the phone and learning how we can support our clients.
  • Located in Toronto: Based in Toronto and willing to work from our office 3-days a week.
  • Familiarity with operations and sales tools like Copilot, Slack, Hubspot, and Asana.
