Addison Group is working with a global Law firm in search for a Network Administrator to join their team. We’re seeking a proactive and technically confident Network Support Engineer with a strong background in Cisco routing protocols and hands-on data center experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys troubleshooting, and is passionate about network reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as front-line support for network-related user issues, providing timely communication and updates.
- Troubleshoot routing issues with a focus on Cisco technologies, particularly BGP and EIGRP.
- Perform diagnostics using ping and traceroute tools—this is your bread and butter.
- Conduct regular onsite visits (twice per week) to data centers for:
- Circuit troubleshooting
- Rack & stack of network equipment
- Sanity and health checks
- Cable replacements and connection verifications
- Support upcoming network refresh projects
- Maintain clear and thorough documentation of network issues and resolutions.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Cisco troubleshooting, especially BGP and EIGRP.
- Strong command of ping and traceroute diagnostics.
- Ability to rack and stack equipment in data centers.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Physically able to lift 50–70 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to travel 20–30%.
- Availability to respond to critical after-hours issues when needed.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
