SCS /SCMS Engineer (Contract)

12 months contract

We are looking for a talent who will be responsible for SCMS service and commissioning, ensuring completion of all activities efficiently, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Main Accountabilities:

• Prepare project documentation for FAT and SAT and testing of SCMS with SCADA
• Control System and Conducting FAT and SAT and obtaining approvals from utilities for design and commissioning activities of SCMS Systems.
• Ability to explain and discuss with the customer technical solutions, to have a good relationship with the customer and to have a clear picture of all job details.
• Configuration, Testing & Commissioning of Micro Scada / ABB SCS system,
• IET600 Engineering and signal testing with the consultant. Prepare the red markup drawings,104 Signal testing, and SAT Functionality testing.
• Follow the End customer safety rules and obtain the LOA permit.
• Follow the client HSE policy at site activity and mitigate potential HSE Hazards.
• Coordinate with the team lead for site works and be independent in snag list handling and resolution.
• Complete the project, handing over final as built, O&M to the customers, obtaining the TOC, proceed for contractual closing.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• Education Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ECE / EEE/ E&I or I&C
• Minimum Five years’ experience in Substation and Automation control & protection
• HITACHI/ABB & Third-party product knowledge is preferred
• Working knowledge and understanding on various protocols i.e., IEC104, IEC 61850,
• MODBUS SCMS TCP/IP/Serial, DLMS &IEC 62439-3(PRP/HSR).
• Working knowledge and understanding of switches and Fortinet firewalls.
• Sound experience on IED integration with SCMS/SCADA and Micro SCADA Pro control systems is preferred.
• Be an experienced Engineer who can work and solve problems independently.
• Be able to work under pressure, handle stress and have the ability to use own initiative.
• Ability to analyze a project and the competitive environment both technically and commercially
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
• Kahramaa approved SCMS LOA holder with the Qatar Driving license is preferred.
