Application Support Specialist

We have an urgent requirement for Application Support Specialist for our banking client based in Muscat, Oman

This is position is on direct payroll of Bank

Application Support professional with expertise in Java, .NET, Python, or other programming skills:

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for software applications built on Java, .NET, Python, or other platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including errors, bugs, and performance problems
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve application defects
  • Develop and maintain documentation for application support processes and procedures
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement solutions
  • Ensure application compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in Java, .NET, Python, or other languages
  • Experience with application support, including troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Knowledge of software development life cycles, including design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively

Nice To Have

  • Experience with cloud-based applications and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL)
  • Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash)
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
