Data Scientist – SEO Growth & Insights
About the Role
We’re looking for a Data Scientist who can transform messy SEO data into clear, actionable insights that drive rankings, traffic, and revenue. You’ll work closely with our SEO strategists to uncover opportunities, test hypotheses, and measure what truly moves the needle. This role reports directly to the Head of SEO and will play a key part in shaping data-driven strategy for WLDM’s clients.
What You’ll Do
- Build data models to forecast SEO impact and ROI
- Automate analysis of rankings, traffic, and content performance
- Identify patterns across SERP behavior, competitors, and user intent
- Create dashboards that guide strategic SEO decisions
- Run statistical tests to validate SEO experiments
- Support SEO strategists with actionable insights from large, unstructured datasets
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 2+ years working with SEO or digital marketing datasets
- Advanced skills in Python, SQL, and data visualization (Looker, Power BI, or similar)
- Experience with web scraping, APIs (Google Search Console, GA4), and NLP
- Strong ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred:
- Familiarity with content clustering, internal linking, and topical authority
