Back End Developer

As a Backend Developer, your responsibility will be to design and develop the backend services which include the APIs required for our mobile and web applications and other S2S interactions. You’ll also be required to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure, who can independently lead development towards the delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Additionally, you'll be bringing a nice thought process in creating test driven development, automations of applications and backend services, etc. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving and sophisticated design with core emphasis on product quality.

Requirements

• Should have 2 to 5 years of experience in backend development.
• Should be a self-starter and demonstrate a high level of resilience
• Should be highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
• Should be able to pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
• Can work on high performance and scalable application and write very optimised code
• Can take complete responsibility for the development of module/work they are assigned to
• Have good problem-solving skills and very clear understanding of basic data structures, algorithms
• Expert in any one of their favourite programming languages (Java/server-side JS/go preferred)
• Proven experience in one of the major web API development frameworks (Spring, ExpressJS, Phoenix, Gin etc)
• Have clear understanding server to server interactions and practices
• Have a knack for debugging and deep diving into code (incl. libraries written by others)

Good to have

• Experience in TDD/BDD style in agile fashion which means you develop, test, release and get back to development again in sprints
• Proficient in architectures (client/server, pub/sub etc), trends, and emerging technologies.
• Proficiency in high performing or distributed system design. Previous experience in working on large projects involving several modules and their integration (among themselves and with the server).
• Web API best practices and REST
• Knowledge of multiple languages and programming paradigms
