Job Description: Automation Engineer – Network & Development Operations Position: Automation Engineer Location: [Insert Location] Experience Required: [Insert Range, e.g., 2-4 years] Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or related fields) Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to work closely with our Network Operations and Development teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing automation solutions to streamline operational tasks, while ensuring smooth collaboration between internal teams and vendor development partners. This role requires a strong foundation in networking, security, and automation, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Key Responsibilities

Automation Development & Testing o Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools to optimize network operations. o Test automation use cases in collaboration with the development and network teams before deployment to production. o Ensure automation solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with organizational standards.
Collaboration & Coordination o Act as a point of contact with vendor development teams to track automation use cases, enhancements, and fixes. o Collaborate with the operations team to hand over tested and validated automation use cases. o Work closely with cross-functional teams (Network, Security, Development, and Operations) to gather requirements and implement solutions.
Incident & Performance Management o Support incident management by troubleshooting automation-related issues and coordinating with vendor teams for resolution. o Monitor and ensure the performance, stability, and availability of automation tools. o Provide operational support and documentation for automated processes. Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or related field.
Technical Skills: o Strong knowledge of networking concepts (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPNs). o Good understanding of security principles and tools. o Hands-on experience with automation frameworks, scripting, and coding (Python, Ansible, Shell, or similar). o Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
Professional Skills: o Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. o Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. o Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment. Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or other ITSM tools.
Knowledge of cloud networking and automation (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Exposure to DevOps methodologies and tools.
