Graduate Data & Analytics Programme – 3 years
Location: North West England (multiple sites)
Salary: £31,250 starting salary (annual reviews and increases)
Type: Full-time, permanent
Join a leading UK utilities organisation on a 3-year graduate programme designed to launch your career in data science and analytics. You’ll work on real-world projects that help shape a sustainable future—using data to drive efficiency, innovation, and positive change across critical services.
What you’ll do
- Work with business teams to identify where analytics can create value
- Develop insights using tools such as Power BI, Python, R and SQL
- Create data models and visualisations to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Apply machine learning, AI and statistical methods to generate actionable insights
- Ensure data quality, security and compliance with data governance standards
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and managers to build automated, reliable and secure services
- Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Continuously improve processes and adopt best practices in coding and analytics
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong technical skills in programming, statistical analysis and data visualisation
- Critical thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to work across different teams and travel to sites when needed
