The role

We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to build the next generation of social and messaging products. You’ll work on a consumer chat app with AI features built directly into conversations. The app is in pre-public launch with exciting plans for expansion, so you’ll be joining at a time where you can have real impact on the direction and scale of the product. You'll play a key role in designing and delivering advanced chat features, optimising performance at scale, and creating smooth, engaging mobile experiences for millions of users.

About you

You’re an experienced Android engineer (5+ years) with strong Kotlin skills and deep knowledge of the Android SDK. You’ve built and shipped apps at scale, ideally with messaging or real-time components, and you know how to deliver smooth user experiences across devices.

You’re pragmatic - able to balance building the right long-term solution with delivering immediate value. Yo enjoy collaborating closely with founders, care about performance and security, and are curious about how AI is adopted into development.
