A Brisbane-based organisation is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, high-performance cloud infrastructure. This position is a technical role within the DevOps team, working closely with software development, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions.

Opportunity to contribute directly to secure infrastructure outcomes in a high-impact environment.

• $120K – $130K base + superannuation

• Brisbane-based, hybrid role with flexible arrangements

• Design and provision cloud environments (primarily Azure)

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines

• Optimise environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency

• Apply cloud security practices across identity, encryption, and network controls

• Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

• MUST be an Australian Citizen (for security requirements)

• MUST hold or be eligible for NV1 Security Clearance

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a DevOps Engineer, you will:

• Design, provision, and manage Azure cloud environments.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep), automate deployments, and refine CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply best practices in identity, encryption, and network security while meeting compliance requirements.
• Ability to track performance, manage incidents, and contribute to troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Work alongside the development, infrastructure, and security teams to contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE…..

• 3+ years in DevOps or cloud engineering roles

• Strong experience with Azure cloud environments (design and operations)

• Hands-on skills with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or similar)

• Proven ability to automate deployments and manage CI/CD pipelines

• Knowledge of cloud security practices and compliance standards

• Strong troubleshooting, optimisation, and documentation abilities

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

• MUST be an Australian Citizen (for security requirements)

• MUST hold or be eligible for NV1 Security Clearance

IT’S NICE TO HAVE…..

• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-700)

• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments

• Monitoring, logging, and performance optimisation experience

• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash)

• Background in regulated or security-sensitive industries
