DevOps Engineer – Melbourne Based – Permanent Role – NFP

My client is on the market for an AWS focussed DevOps Engineer, ideally from a software engineering background with Java. This team builds products that assist in ensuring funding for social impact projects reaches the right areas. The mission is to ensure all Australians have opportunities to thrive on their doorsteps.
This organisation has a well-established technology department, and you will join a high performing DevOps team to improve their environment, processes and tooling. You will be responsible for supporting technical designs and ensuring performance, security and ease of maintenance is streamlined.
Day to day
• Monitor application performance and improve reporting tools and processes
• Manage non-production environments
• Look after and enhance builds, releases and deployments
• Set up, configure and support the tools and infrastructure used be the development team
• Add value in planning, technical design and decision making
• Provide platform / security expertise
Your skills
• Linux scripting
• Java deployments & build tools (Ant / Maven / Gradle)
• Atlassian suite
• AWS / Terraform
• CloudWatch / NewRelic
• Knowledge of security practices
• Collaborator who loves problem solving as a team
