Intrinzic are partnering with a leading national organisation on a 12-month contract opportunity for a Data Analyst to join their team. This role is Melbourne-based with hybrid working (mix of office and remote).
You’ll be part of a small but growing team focused on turning data into proactive insights — helping the business identify and resolve issues before they impact customers.
This is a great opportunity to work on projects that make a real impact across the network. The role is all about digging into data, spotting patterns, and helping prevent issues before they happen — keeping millions of Australians connected.
What you’ll be doing:
- Analyse large sets of network performance data to identify recurring issues and trends
- Collaborate with vendors and internal technical teams to resolve hardware or environmental problems
- Use SQL to query databases, Python for scripting/automation, and Tableau for reporting and dashboards
- Build analytics to support a proof of concept for predictive fault detection, moving operations from reactive to proactive
- Work across technologies including Cisco, Nokia, HFC, FTTP, FTTX, and DWDM
What we’re looking for:
- Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
- Technical skills in SQL, Python, and Tableau (or similar BI tools)
- Network knowledge is a plus (Cisco, Nokia, HFC, FTTP, FTTX, DWDM) — but not essential if you’re eager to learn
- Great communication skills — able to work with both technical engineers and non-technical stakeholders
- Attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn are just as important as experience
- Prior experience working in a Telco would be beneficial, although it is not mandatory.
Why join?
- Be part of a small but growing team (2 now, expanding to 4) within a wider group of 23–24
- Work on initiatives that could extend your contract well beyond 12 months
- Gain exposure to cutting-edge network technologies and national-scale data challenges
- Competitive Daily rate - $600 to $800 inclusive of super - dependant on experience
