Position – Backend Developer

Amesan Consulting’s client is looking for a Backend Developer to strengthen the software team and help build a scalable SaaS product. This is an opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects with an international impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend services deployable in both cloud and on-premise environments
• Implement integration projects and deployment solutions for customer environments
• Collaborate in an Agile development team
• Communicate actively with both team members and customer-facing stakeholders

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in:

• Developing REST API-based backends with Spring Boot
• Working with web standards (HTTP, REST, OIDC)
• Managing Spring Boot projects with Gradle and Maven
• Administering Linux servers
• Building scalable SaaS applications with microservice architecture (Docker, AWS)

Helpful experience with:

• GIS tools and geospatial data
• Using OpenAPI specifications in web development
• TypeScript, React, and Material UI
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks and GitLab-based DevOps processes

Core technologies:

Kotlin or Java, Spring Boot (Liquibase, Hibernate, OpenAPI, OIDC), Docker, MariaDB (or other relational DBs), AWS (Fargate, S3), Redis

• Self-driven problem solver, able to work independently and grow professionally
• Strong communicator and reliable team player (English required, Finnish is a plus)
• Interested in critical water and energy infrastructure and environmental impact
• Familiar with Agile development practices
