Position Overview:

For one of our partners, we are seeking a Frontend Developer who will be responsible for the design and development of user-friendly and visually appealing web interfaces. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and experience to contribute to the success of our partner organization.

Qualifications

Basic

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Frontend Developer or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of web development fundamentals and SDLC

Requirements and Skills:

• Proven work experience as a Frontend Developer.
• Hands-on experience with markup languages.
• Experience in developing interactive geospatial applications, including proficiency with web mapping tools such as Leaflet, Google Maps, or Google Earth.
• Experience with JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery.
• Familiarity with frontend testing and debugging.
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, deployment and testing).
• Experience with Figma to get layout specifications.
• Ability to perform well in a complex and international environment.
• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities:

• Major focus on visual quality and consistency, performance, best practices in code and re-use of components
• Create user-friendly and responsive cloud-based applications
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and usability.
• Collaborate with backend developers and product designers to ensure usability.
• Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers.
• Create quality prototypes.
• Assist backend developers with coding and debugging.
• Ensure high-quality layout implementation and brand consistency.
• Strong focus on re-using components. Components should be stored in a component library like storybook

• Close Collaboration: Close collaboration with client’s onshore teams, enabling low-cost travel for in-person meetings, workshops, and grooming sessions. Regular face-to-face interactions are essential to foster effective communication and teamwork.
• Integration and Teamwork: Proactive approach to integrating with in-house teams, ensuring effective daily cooperation and smooth collaboration between all team members, both internal and external.
• Communication Skills: High proficiency in English, effective engagement in meetings, and proactive communication, with team members equipped to minimize background noise.
• Technical Expertise and Experience: Proven track record of delivering projects with similar technical requirements, with senior-level expertise and strong skills in data management, data architecture, UI implementation, and Python.
• Pro-active and Autonomous Problem-Solving with a Holistic View: Ability to independently tackle complex issues with an understanding of broader project goals, proactively reading and understanding epics or features, and suggesting improvements.
• Project Management and Transparency: Use clear and efficient project management processes with tools like Azure DevOps, providing transparent progress tracking and meaningful KPIs that reflect real performance and project health.
• Quality of Deliverables: Consistently meet or exceed quality expectations, with a strong focus on best practices, maintainable code, and thorough documentation.
