As a Junior Automation Engineer, you will be driving key automation projects for MakerVerse and ensuring the scalability of our fast-growing business. You will make sure that the operations team can scale by driving the transformation of a new ERP and continuously implementing and enhancing Operations and company-wide process automation. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience with in-demand automation tools and take real ownership by building solutions that have a direct impact on our business. You will collaborate with senior leaders, including the CFO and Supply Chain Lead, giving your work direct visibility across the company.
Main tasks:
- Scale Operations: Enable the operations team to scale business processes (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Barcode, Invoicing) by driving the ERP rollout and further implement business automations
- Warehouse Management System: Rollout a WMS system including Locations/bins, putaway/picking rules, barcode flows; carrier labels (DHL/UPS/FedEx)
- Finance Integrations: Support e-invoicing, DATEV export, bank feeds and automatic payout reconciliation.
- Dashboards & insights: Deliver the right dashboards / controls to have full visibility on our supply chain and key KPIs
- Company-wide process automation: Extend efficiency using AWS Lambda, Power Automate, n8n (and similar)
- Ad-hoc analytics: Deliver rapid, cross-functional ad-hoc analyses (e.g., shipping performance) and convert insights into clear next steps
- You have a degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or Business with a strong focus on programming and automation.
- 1 year of experience in a fast-paced environment, such as a startup or consulting. Experience gained through working student positions or internships is also valued.
- Strong Python skills are a must; familiarity with SQL/PostgreSQL fundament, Git is a plus.
- Highly motivated and willing to go the extra mile to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of marketplace business processes and domains, including sales and purchase orders, shipments, warehouses, invoices/bills, and VAT.
- Experience with Odoo is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
