Job Summary

The Backend Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that power the company’s e-commerce and licensing platforms. The role involves translating business requirements into scalable and efficient code, ensuring system reliability, and contributing to architecture decisions. The Backend Developer acts as a technical reference for other teams and supports the improvement of processes, tools, and system components.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services (primarily in Go) for e-commerce, licensing, and web platforms.
• Analyze business requirements from presales, sales, support, and after-sales processes.
• Build and optimize APIs and data-driven solutions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Contribute to the system architecture and enhance existing services.
• Act as a technical contact for adjacent teams (frontend, product, support).
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Support DevOps processes (CI/CD, monitoring, deployments)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of backend services.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Qualifications:

• 7 years of experience in a similar position.
• Several years of professional experience in backend development with Go (Golang).
• Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Experience with microservices and containerized infrastructure (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with additional languages (Scala/Java, PHP, Node.js) is a plus.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Proactive mindset, structured work style, and strong collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German (written and spoken).
• Nice to have: experience with e-commerce platforms or licensing workflows.
