We are looking for a people leader to take care of people from the Progress OpenEdge Unit at Baltic Amadeus. When you join, we will call you a People Development Manager and you will closely collaborate with another Lead while taking care of unit people. We expect you to be based in Lithuania.
In this role, both people leaders will collaborate with the unit manager on strategy, will have technical back up from tech lead, will lead recruitment and onboarding, and will develop tailored career paths for all team members. Also, both of you will be responsible for driving professional development, managing performance reviews and salary adjustments, and fostering a culture of continuous growth through training initiatives. Additionally, the role will be overseeing a hybrid-remote work model and will coordinate engaging team-building activities.

What You Will Do

What You Will Do
- Collaborate closely with the unit manager to define and align unit strategy with organizational goals.
- Participate in the recruitment process by defining candidate requirements, engaging in hiring decisions, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new team members, including setting trial period goals. Support from the tech lead is guaranteed!
- Develop and implement personalized development plans for team members, identifying required certifications and competencies.
- Lead the creation of career development pathways by designing clear roadmaps, setting milestones and goals, and conducting regular one-on-one meetings to provide structured, nurturing feedback.
- Assess and identify the unit's training and development needs to support continuous growth.
- Manage salary, performance reviews and adjustments.
- Ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication across the unit.
- Manage a hybrid-remote work model, while also coordinating team-building initiatives.
- Proven experience in people management role, with a preference for experience in the IT industry.
- Strong people management abilities, including experience in creating career development plans, team management with performance and compensation reviews, leading 1on1 meetings, and the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English language.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in a technical role with a proven track record would be considered a huge advantage.
