We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Android Kotlin Developer to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will spearhead the development and maintenance of Android applications, collaborate with key stakeholders, and play an integral part in delivering high-quality mobile solutions that meet and exceed user expectations. This role requires working with an overlap with the California timezone (at least till 10 a.m. PST).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Android application development initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and project management, to define project requirements and priorities
• Architect and implement scalable, robust, and efficient Android application features using Kotlin
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices
• Oversee code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to development standards and guidelines
• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement necessary optimizations
• Collaborate on testing strategies and ensure consistent application responsiveness, stability, and performance
• Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries, tools, and frameworks
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve bugs to maintain application quality
• Provide leadership in improving Android development workflows and practices within the team

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Android development
• Expertise in Kotlin and building robust, production-ready applications
• Knowledge of distributed systems, including concepts and how they interoperate
• Familiarity with modern development practices, tools, and CI/CD pipelines
• Skills in working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Background in participating in customer and project interviews
• B2 or higher level of English proficiency

Nice to have

• Experience developing mobile apps to control physical devices
• Understanding of Android application architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture
• Showcase of problem-solving skills in system design and scalability challenges

Salary range €5.5K-€6.5K gross, based on your experience and interview results.
