Together with your team you will work on inspiring projects to accelerate our transition into a hybrid Food & Tech company. We want to leverage data and technology to future-proof food shopping and give our customers accessibility to healthy food more easily available for everyone. This Is How You Will Reinvent Food Retail.
- Contribute to building within our modern tech landscape with microservices architecture, Kotlin, Cloud Azure, Kafka integration, React, MongoDB, and more.
- Consume logging, monitoring, automation, integrations, and deployment frameworks from our paved road support by our enablement platform.
- Work closely within a product team, participating in agile ceremonies, story refinement, code changes, deployments, and production support activities.
- Strive to understand the flow of our core business processes within AH Stores, translating functional requirements into technical solutions. Your ability to communicate your ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be invaluable.

The recipe for maximum impact.
- A relevant bachelor's or master's degree
- 0-2 years of work experience as a Backend Developer or Fullstack developer in Java/Kotlin.
- Knowledge of Microservices;
- Experience with SQL Query writing and performing tuning;
- Oracle Cloud (OCI) or Azure cloud fundamentals;
- Big bonus if you have experience with Kafka and have worked in the retail domain before;
- You enjoy teamwork and making things happen;
- You’re tech savvy, pro-active and have a big passion for tech.
At Albert Heijn we aim to grow, and this is only possible if you grow along with us. As we work together to build our brand and your career, you can count on (based on 40 hours per week):
- An annual salary up to 48-52k including holiday allowance and a flexible bonus. Depending on your experience;
- 45 days of paid leave to enjoy your well-deserved holidays: 25,5 regular vacation days and 19,5 ADV days. Enjoy!
