You’ll Be:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining back-end solutions in Java/Kotlin
• Building scalable systems with frameworks such as Spring Boot or Quarkus
• Working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Developing CI/CD pipelines and ensuring reliable deployments
• Supporting integration and data exchange between systems with attention to quality and security
• Exploring and implementing new technologies, tools, and practices to keep systems modern and effective
• Coaching and mentoring less experienced developers, sharing knowledge with peers
• Collaborating in Agile teams with engineers, researchers, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds

You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience (Java/Kotlin focus)
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle)
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Redis, Vert.x)
• Exposure to front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) is a plus
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) is a plus
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles
• Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and the ability to advise clients or project teams
• An interest in sustainability in software and enthusiasm for contributing to impactful projects (such as healthcare and energy transition)
• Fluency in Dutch, both spoken and written
