You’ll Be:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining back-end solutions in Java/Kotlin
- Building scalable systems with frameworks such as Spring Boot or Quarkus
- Working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Developing CI/CD pipelines and ensuring reliable deployments
- Supporting integration and data exchange between systems with attention to quality and security
- Exploring and implementing new technologies, tools, and practices to keep systems modern and effective
- Coaching and mentoring less experienced developers, sharing knowledge with peers
- Collaborating in Agile teams with engineers, researchers, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of software development experience (Java/Kotlin focus)
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle)
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Redis, Vert.x)
- Exposure to front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) is a plus
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) is a plus
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles
- Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and the ability to advise clients or project teams
- An interest in sustainability in software and enthusiasm for contributing to impactful projects (such as healthcare and energy transition)
- Fluency in Dutch, both spoken and written
