The Role

As an experienced Compliance Officer at One Trading, your role will be to support the business and day-to-day operations by undertaking Compliance oversight activities to ensure the trading platforms (digital assets and derivatives for institutional and individual clients) remain in adherence with relevant regulatory requirements. Such activities include Monitoring and Surveillance, Testing and Thematic reviews, Risk Assessments, Reporting (both internal and external), leading and overseeing Conduct controls, and working closely with various business and support functions to ensure a robust compliance control framework.

 What you’ll do

• Perform due diligence reviews of counterparties and other third parties, both prospective and existing 
• Perform transaction monitoring, blockchain forensic analysis, and AML/CTF risk assessments, ensuring timely investigation, screening, and escalation of potential issues in line with regulatory requirements
• Analyze customer behavior, identify trends, and implement effective remediation measures
• Collaborate with other team members to establish and maintain best practices, policies and procedures, and promote a compliance culture 
• Ensure internal and external reporting
• Review and maintain up-to-date compliance policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards. Manage related compliance activities, including Personal Account Dealing, Gifts and Entertainment, Conflicts of Interest oversight, and the maintenance of associated registers
• Providing training to the business in relation to all Compliance related matters
• Support Regulatory change initiatives and projects

Who you are

• Strong product knowledge covering multiple asset classes with a focus on cryptocurrency and derivatives (Futures, Options, Swaps)
• Strong analytical and organisation skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
• You have a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset and a proactive approach

Requirements

• Knowledge of the EU regulations and Dutch implementation
• Fluency in English and another European language (esp. Dutch, Spanish, or German) is preferable
• FinTech/crypto exchange experience or solid understanding of European financial regulation (MiFID II, EMIR, MAR, etc.)
• 3-6 years of compliance experience,  ideally within investment banks, brokerages, or regulated trading venues
• Based in the Netherlands
• Experience with Chainalysis, Sumsub and SteelEye is a bonus
