I am hiring a Senior Security Engineer on behalf of a Swiss IT security firm focused on Zero Trust, SASE, and endpoint protection, evolving from its original mobile technology roots to a full-spectrum cybersecurity provider. The company delivers consulting, secure networking, and enterprise mobility solutions, helping organizations strengthen their defenses and maintain resilient digital infrastructures. Their teams combine technical expertise with strategic insight to protect clients from evolving threats while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency across complex IT environments.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Design, implement and maintain secure networking solutions (LAN, WAN, cloud connectivity, SASE) for enterprise customers.
• Lead and deliver customer projects end-to-end, from requirements and architecture to migration and operational handover.
• Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls, VPNs and security platforms, ensuring performance and compliance.
• Act as the primary technical contact and mentor, providing on-site support to clients and guidance to junior engineers.
• Document solutions and contribute to service development, continuously improving offerings and internal processes.

This role is hybrid in Bern.

Essential:

• Relevant degree or vocational training e.g. Computer Science, Cyber Security etc.
• Strong expertise in enterprise networking and security — LAN, WAN, cloud connectivity, firewalls, VPNs, and SASE solutions
• Experience working with complex IT infrastructures
• Strong communication skills – ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people on the topic
• Minimum C1 level German or above with a good knowledge of English

Desirable:

• Experience with CATO Networks
• Relevant network certifications e.g. CCNP
