As a Data Scientist at JWP Connatix, you will develop machine learning and statistical models that power the core of our video monetisation ecosystem. You'll work on systems that handle tens of billions of predictions per month, spanning programmatic advertising auctions, supply path optimisation, and content analysis. This is a hands-on role where your contributions have a direct and measurable impact on revenue and customer outcomes.
You'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights, deploy and monitor models in production, and ensure our decision systems remain scalable, reliable, and business-aligned.
What You'll Do
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Analyze complex, large-scale datasets to uncover insights and drive strategy.
- Build, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models across different verticals of the company, including programmatic advertising, content analysis, or playlist recommendations.
- Design and conduct offline experiments, shadow tests, and online A/B tests to measure model performance and assess its business impact.
- Contribute to the engineering of high-throughput, low-latency systems for training and inference at scale.
- Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams to maximize the impact of data science on business metrics.
- Operationalize LLMs and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate prototyping, inform methods discussions, and improve development velocity.
- Master's degree in a STEM field (CS, AI/ML, or Statistics preferred).
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Solid applied experience with experiment design and statistical analysis.
- Experience building, deploying, and monitoring models in production environments.
- Familiarity with ML platforms (e.g, MLflow, AutoML).
- Excellent communication skills, ability to translate complex data science work into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work across the full lifecycle: problem framing, research, implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
- A Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field.
- Experience in advertising technology or programmatic auctions.
- Experience with Cloud computing (AWS preferred).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Kibana preferred).
- Experience with advanced causal inference methods.
- Familiarity with building APIs and infrastructure (Docker, K8s, Terraform).
