Core Platform Technology (CPT) is the core of the company which helps all segments and engineers to have reliable and sustainable tools to perform the day-to-day business. The CPT operates using cutting edge technologies and cost efficient ensuring also business perspective and technologies stacks.
The Core Software Engineering Services (CSES) team is responsible for building and maintaining the tool stack in which our customers (colleagues across the whole company) perform daily business and monitoring the health and dependencies of the services.
We believe that collaboration leads to the best ideas, and we rely heavily on team interaction. As a hybrid role based in Cluj-Napoca, this position will require at least 3 days in the office each week.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process
- Manage containerized applications and their orchestration at scale
- Automate infrastructure and system tasks using scripting
- Integrate and manage a modern DevOps toolchain to enhance collaboration and workflow efficiency
- Establish and provide training to development teams on operational processes and automations that promote software integrity and stability
- Maintain accurate data to facilitate reporting on key reliability SLOs for multiple products/systems
- Implement and manage monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance
- Ensure high availability and reliability of applications and services through proactive monitoring
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and automating repetitive tasks
- Participate in capacity planning to ensure software can scale sufficiently at peak time
- Work collaboratively and professionally in a team environment with other Garmin associates to achieve goals.
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or a similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools
- Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
- Proficiency in scripting with Linux Shell and/or Python for automation
- Deep understanding of monitoring and alerting best practices, with experience using Zabbix, Grafana or other monitoring tools
- Deep understanding and experience with software engineering tools, including Git/GitHub, Docker, Jira, and Confluence
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a collaborative mindset
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Hands-on experience with Ansible
- Familiarity with configuring monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, Grafana, and Uptrends
- Knowledge of tools like Zuul, JFrog Artifactory
