We are seeking a motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our client in developing and modernizing vehicle characteristics applications. These applications are widely used across different divisions in the automotive and transport industry and are central to ensuring quality and efficiency.


You will be part of an exciting journey to modernize IT architectures, migrating locally installed applications to web-based and cloud services. This role requires strong backend development skills, teamwork, and a proactive mindset to deliver robust and scalable solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of applications using C++, SQL, .Net, and Visual Basic.
  • Work in an Agile team, embracing rapid changes and continuously improving processes.
  • Collaborate closely with team members, sharing ideas, and fostering a positive team spirit.
  • Ensure applications are high quality, reliable, and scalable.
  • Manage source code using Git and Bitbucket.
  • Perform database development and optimization with SQL, MS Access, and Oracle.
  • Actively participate in the modernization journey from on-premises to web-based/cloud services.


Required Skills:

  • Strong Agile mindset with openness to change and continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience in backend development with C++, SQL, .Net, Visual Basics.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
  • Solid database skills in SQL, MS Access, and Oracle.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, structured, and motivated to deliver high-quality solutions.


Desired Skills:

Previous automotive industry experience.

Familiarity with tools such as Probuilder, KOLA, EDB, WIS, PERF, KAX.

Hands-on experience in .Net, APIs, XML, PHP, Citrix, Cloud, Visual Basic.

Ability to work independently and drive initiatives.
