💼 Role and main tasks

A Product Manager at Telenor IoT is responsible for the product and portfolio throughout the lifecycle. The responsibility includes securing the commercial value of the product as well as defining the product strategy, roadmap and driving the execution of this strategy.

The work includes both planning and execution and is performed in close cooperation with Sales, Marketing, Technology team, Operations, external suppliers, and partners.

The Product Manager also ensures that our products support the company's overall strategy and that our business targets and customer needs are met.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Ensure product profitability with business cases and commercial strategy throughout the product lifecycle
• Understanding the market and customer needs, identifying opportunities for innovation
• Ensure a market driven evolution by continuous interaction with customers and partners and transform this into product strategy and roadmap
• Communicate the product strategy and roadmap to various stakeholders, including the executive team, other internal stakeholders, customers and partners
• Manage KPIs and market attractiveness for existing products and identify need for product development in a prioritized product backlog
• Support sales in customer engagements with product & service discussions, customer presentations, webinar, product demo and similar activities
• Define and evolve the commercial models together with the Pricing team

Experience and skills

• A higher academicals degree
• 3-5 years of working experience from Product management or similar role
• A deep understanding of the IoT market and technology, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of IP- and Mobile Core, familiar with technologies such as APN/VPN, NAT, Radius, SMPP, IMS, vEPG etc.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, experience in communicating with C-level stakeholders, both internally and externally
• Being able to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
• A commercial approach and business understanding is crucial
• Experience from IoT and Connectivity Management Platforms is meritorious
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
