Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Product Engineer – Network Security to design, implement, and automate secure end-to-end network infrastructure solutions. This role is critical in supporting AZ IT's strategic initiatives by enhancing the organization's network security posture across both IT and OT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular security assessments, including penetration testing and vulnerability scans, to identify and remediate security risks.
- Design and implement secure network architectures using technologies like firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption protocols.
- Support Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) initiatives with hands-on expertise in Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) and Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA).
- Adhere to enterprise governance, ITSM, and CMDB processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and respond to alerts using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, ensuring timely and effective incident response.
- Collaborate with teams across IT and OT to define and enforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Network Access Control (NAC) policies.
- Stay informed on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices to continuously improve the network security framework.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and assist with internal and external audit processes as needed.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12+ years of proven experience in network security, including:
- Strong knowledge of network security fundamentals, encryption, and secure design principles
- Practical experience with Zscaler ZPA/ZIA and Zero Trust implementations in hybrid IT-OT environments
- Hands-on expertise with firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto)
- Familiarity with IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and incident response processes
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Certifications (Any of the following)
- Cisco:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Expert (CCIE) – Security
- Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate / Professional
- Zscaler:
- Zscaler Zero Trust Certified Associate
- Zscaler Digital Transformation Administrator
- Palo Alto:
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
- Check Point:
- Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA)
- Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
- Other Recognized Security Certifications:
- CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent
